Dead of lady, after delivering a girl child at RIMS Gynaecology department today morning has irk locals of the deceased prompting them to protest in front of the hospital. The aggrieved patient party went on a rampage and pours their anger. She was reportedly undergoing treatment at RIMS Gynaecology ward since she was hospitalized on July 26 under the supervision of Dr. RK Praneshwori Devi.
The decease lady has been identified as Thokchom Ibecha (41) w/o Th. Sangeet of Kwakheithel Kongkham leikei. She is survived by a son and 2 daughters and her husband. Speaking to media persons the decease family said that a long examination process was conducted by the doctor for the delivery, and the family had provided whatever the doctor had demanded.
They further said that the doctor first said she might have problem in delivery as the sugar level was high. However, after the sugar level was brought to normal she was conducted caesarian for delivery at around 9:20 am.
Later, after the caesarian the doctor later said that she has heart problem and later reported dead. As the doctor never informed about the lady having heart problem the family members were left at stun. Following the news of her dead around hundred of aggrieved patient party rush to the hospital and started argument with the hospital Authority. A police team tried to bring the situation under control. Later, the MS of RIMS reportedly assured to look after the incident.
