While appreciating the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam on their stands to the problems in Ukhrul district, MLA L Ibomcha of the NCP today urged for presentation of the crimes committed by UNC and the NSCN-IM to the Prime Minister of India. In a press statement, L Ibomcha said that the UNC and NSCN-IM has been imposing blockade on National Highways time and again and the later had assassinated and attempted to assassinate several VIPs in Ukhrul district. “This should be brought to the notice of the Prime Minister and declare both the organisation as ‘unlawful’,” said L Ibomcha.President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Manipur State, L Ibomcha further said that the two organisations have been distorting the peaceful atmosphere of Ukhrul district. “Unlike both the organisation many people in Ukhrul district want to live in peace” he added. He also condoled the dead of two civilian in Ukhrul on August 30.Ibomcha further cautioned the government to take up immediate measures to bring the situation under control before it spread to other part of the state.
