Deans meeting convened over the issue of Manipur University

A meeting of Deans’ Committee was held on 7th June 2018 at the Vice-Chancellor’s Camp Office (residence) at 2.00pm with Prof. Adya Prasad Pandey, Vice- Chancellor in the chair. The Committee discussed the prevailing situation of the University campus consequent upon the agitation of the students and unanimously resolved to appeal to the students representatives to come to the negotiation table in the larger interest of the students of the University in particular and the state as a whole. Due to the students’ agitation several papers of different subjects of the ongoing MA/MSc/MCom/MILSc (2nd and 4th Semesters) Examinations, 2018 could not be conducted and the same are to be rescheduled.
The Deans’ Committee thus once again appeals to the office bearers of Manipur University Students’ Union to cooperative with the administration in restoring a proper academic programme of the University in the larger interests of the Students’ community. It is further requested to discuss all the genuine grievances of the students so that the University authority may address their grievances the earliest.
