DC Imphal West organises quiz competition

In connection with the celebration of the 5th National voter’s day the District Election Officer/ DC Imphal West District organised a District level quiz competition with the theme of ‘democratic institutions and elections in India’ today at Kuranganayani Hall of DC office, Lamphel.
Launching the quiz competition, K. Radhakumar, DC Imphal West, said that the Election Commission of India was established on the 25th Jan which is been observed as National voter’s day. Prior to the 5th National voter’s day the quiz competition was being organised to give awareness about the election commission of India to the students who are the pillar of the state. He added that students participating in such competitions will gain more knowledge about elections which will be useful in their future examinations.
Students from St. Joseph’s School, Heritage Convent, JNV Khumbong, Shishu Nishta Niketan, Don Bosco High School and Savio English Hr. Sec. Schools participated in the quiz competition. Representative of two students from each schools participated in the quiz competition and the winners will participate in the state level quiz competition which will be organised by the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur on 22nd Jan at CEO, office, Lamphel.
