DC Cachar District receive flood relief assistance from Manipur Government

In a bid to provide assistance to the flood-affected people of Assam, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh flagged off relief materials to Assam on Monday has been received by the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar District, Assam Kirthi Jalli at Jiribam gateway of the inter-State border of Manipur and Assam today
The relief materials were handed over to the DC, Cachar, Assam by the Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam District W. Malemnganba Chenglei. Moreover, 40 personnel of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) were also deployed to Assam State for assisting in the search and rescue operation in the flood-affected areas of the State.
Speaking with the media persons, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar District, Assam Kirthi Jalli on behalf of the Cachar District Administration thanked the Manipur government for their helping hands at the time of the severe flood in Assam.
She also added that sending of 40 SDRF personnel by the Manipur government will be really helpful to them in the rescue work of the flood victims in Cachar District.
