Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, today flagged off the Har Ghar Tiranga Rally from Block Lamkhai, Bishnupur. The rally culminated at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.
DC Pooja Elangbam, ADM Bishnupur T. Opendro, District Level Officers, officials from various departments, and volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Bishnupur participated in the rally organised by District Administration Bishnupur.
Speaking to the media, DC stated that the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign is being actively implemented across the district, reflecting the district’s commitment to nurturing a spirit of nationalism. All the line departments of the district are taking part in the campaign from day one, she added.
Highlighting the core message of the initiative that is to encourage citizens to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it in honour of India’s independence, DC said, bringing the flag home collectively as a nation helps forge a personal connection with it, which stands as a symbol of our shared dedication to nation-building.
Later, DC invited all for the Independence Day Celebration to be held tomorrow at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.
Across the district, schools under Zonal Education Zone IV have been conducting a variety of activities since the start of the campaign, including rakhi making, rangoli competitions, zonal-level quizzes, and drawing contests. Today, several schools organised Tiranga rallies led by their teachers. Utlou Government Model Higher Secondary School also held a unique rally featuring a long stretch of tricoloured fabric.
Under the Division Forest Office, Range Forest Offices marked the occasion by distributing saplings to the public and carrying out roadside tree plantations, including along Sendra Road.
The Moirang Municipal Council also joined the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign today through a social service drive in and around Moirang town and nearby tourist spots.
