CWA Jiribam observes World AIDS Day

The Child Welfare Ashram (CWA), Jiribam observed World AIDS Day today under the sponsor of the Manipur State AIDS Control Society.
In connection with the observation, a mass rally was taken out at Jiribam where students of Jiribam Higher Secondary School participated by holding placards that read “No to drugs, yes to life”, “What are you doing in war against AIDS?”, “Stop drugs buyer and seller of No 4 heroin” and so no.
On the sideline of the rally H. Priyananda, Programme Manager, Child Welfare Ashram, TI Jiribam said as like every year, World AIDS Day was also observed by Child Welfare Ashram, Jiribam. He added in connection with the observation wall poster campaign, a wall painting campaign was held at various places in Jiribam. He also showed his respect who passed away due to AIDS. He also appealed to the people of Jiribam to take their HIV test and to know their status as well as sought the cooperation of Civil Society Organizations of Jiribam in creating awareness among the people.
