The Zeliangrong United Front has said that the current political and social scenario demands a transforming revolution.
“A revolution for a social change and development for a new society has to come about. The old system destroys hope and life expectancy. Things are turning ugly with rampant corruption. Lies and deceptions are becoming the order of the day. Truth are hardly perceived and accepted. Lies are taken to be true and commonly accepted things of the day”, a statement of the Front said.
It added that in such a time and society, all civic citizens must responsibly act out justice and noble contribution for creating a new and ideal society.
“We all must overtake evil with good action and deed. Human Rights are discovered to be practiced and promoted for creating an ideal society and humane world. Every citizens and human person are to be recognized, respected and given freedom to exercise God given Human Rights. Our society today needs higher sense of social responsibility and committed to promoting a respectable society where every citizen is given a space to freely express his or her rights to live with dignity of labor and social status on equal footing with the rest of the world,” the statement said.
The basic objectives of ZUF envisages on eradicating the many social evils, actualizing human rights through social action, struggling for asserting the just right of the people for liberation and freedom of the Zeliangrong people in particular and the general citizens, defending and safeguarding the historical evidences and records of struggle for socio-cultural liberation envisioned and initiated by Haipou Jadonang and Rani Gaidinliu.
The statement also asserted that the ZUF shall commit to pursuing and promoting and aspiration and goodwill of the Zeliangrong people.
The ZUF expressed displeasure and resentment over the current twisting and distorting elements of moral corruption being reflected in social and print media by dissident defected Raitu Chawang & S.Kamson gang in the pretext of ZUF. The fact has created further public confussion is to who must be responsible for the recent incidents that occurred at Pongringlong (Konnungjang) Village, Kangpokpi Dist. Manipur. The genuine and hard facts clarification revealed by ZUF about the incidences has been distorted by their manipulative and deceptive press statement. Whatever and however strong and cunning statement may be published to cover their white lies, the reality and facts remains unmoved. Sufficient evidential proofs have been substantiated by photos and video clips of their involvement and their alliance with the motivated Indian Army. The fact that cadres of Raitu-Kamson gang and Athuan Abonmei, President ZB had on 26th Jan. celebrated 72nd Republic Day cum 106th Birth Anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu with Indian Army at Pongringlong (Konnungjang) Village. And the aftermath of 2nd Feb. of attacking ADC/SDO Noney and the 5th Feb. where extortion and gunfire at broad daylight in public places and one civilian was beaten black & blue on 7th Feb. The general public witnessed the said gang been continuously terrorizing in Pongringlong area for months. Blaming the ZUF led by Jenchui Kamei is a desperate attempt to blame and save themselves from being convicted in public openly. We hold steadfast to the irrefutable principle and feature of ZUF since its inception and affirm our determined faith in the vision and mission of the front. Further, committed towards realizing a better society by initiating a move for cleansing and creating a better social order. The ZUF expressed warm homecoming of arms cadres to the fold of ZUF on the basis of accepting the truth and principal of the organization to be only true and legitimate body and authority to take the legacy of the freedom fighters of the Zeliangrong people.
