District magistrate of Thoubal district has lifted curfew that has been imposed under section 144 of the CrPC in the whole area of Heirok Assembly constituency from 7 am till 3pm from today onwards for convenience of the general public of Heirok. The Curfew will be continued from 3 pm to 7am as usual.
The decision to lift the curfew during daytime has been decided as per the report of the district Superintendent of Police at which he stated that the law and order situation in Heirok Assembly constituency has been marked improved. Mention may be made that following series of violence the district administration had imposed curfew from December 23 , 2021 to the whole area of Heirok Village in Thoubal district.
