109 BN CRPF under the aegis of IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector conducted a civic action programme today at Mao, Senapati . In this programme Solar Lanterns were distributed to the marginalised section of society. This programme was held with an objective to extend a friendly and helping hand to the residents of Mao. During said programme special attention was paid to the villages which do not have electric connection, i.e. Song Song , Kalinamai, Rabunamai, Mao village of Senapati District.
Mr. Loli Kape, Principal, Asufi Christain Institute, Punanamei, Mao and Mr. Thisho Krina, Deputy Chairman, ADC Senapati graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Solar Lanterns were distributed to the poor and needy persons of Mao in presence of dignitaries of local administration and Village Headman. Commandant Vinod Kumar, Deputy Commandant Vinod Sawant, organized the programme in befitting manner with an aim to connect with the people. A cultural program was also organized on this occasion.
In his speech, Vinod Kumar, Commandant 109 BN thanked the Chief Guest Mr. Loli Kape, Principal, Asufi Christain Institute, Punanamei , Mao and Mr. Thisho Krina, Deputy Chairman, ADC Senapati Guest of Honour for extending CRPF an opportunity to serve them and urged the local administration to fulfil the needs of the local people.
Vinod kumar, Commandant 109 Bn expressed his happiness in getting this opportunity to help the needy and marginalized sections of the society. He stated that unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying such humanitarian activities.
Vinod Kumar Commandant- 109 Bn , in his Speech said that it is need of the hour and our primary duty is to take care of needy persons of society and there smiles inspire us to do more and more for them. He further informed that next month 109 BN is going to organize a football tournament in MAO. In past, 109 Bn CRPF has constructed a Public convenience/toilet at Karong, Senapati, distributed sports items and student utility items to Thong Upper Primary School at Senapati and distributed sewing machine on 11th August to widows of Senapati and has carried many such civic action programme in last couple of years in Imphal west and Senapati District. Village president of various villages and distinguished guests present on the occasion praised the concern of the unit Commandant for its virtuous affiliation.
