The situation of the COVID-19 pandemic has worsen in the state of Manipur with the COVID-19 pandemic spreading at local level but among the staffs of important government offices. Source said that two employees of the Manipur State Power Corporation Limited (MSPCL) have tested positive with the virus today while another VDF personnel have also been tested positive in the last 24 hours.
According to the source, authority had conducted contact tracing of the two MSPCL employee and had tested all suspect , however, non other than the two have been tested positive in the MSPCL.
On the other hand a released by Neeta Arambam, Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur District stated that 1(one) VDF personal who is a resident of Chairel Mangjing and posted at Leingangtabi Out Post Police Station of Kumbi, Bishnupur District has been tested corona virus positive. Following that, the district administration has declares Chairel Mangjing and Leingangtabi Out Post, Bishnupur District as containment zones with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, local club volunteers at almost all places of Imphal West, Imphal East and Bishnupur district had taken up stringent measures to contain the spread of the virus by screening visitors.
