Court restrains marriage ceremony of a married person having two daughters

Family Court of Manipur has restrained marriage ceremony of a married person having two minor daughters after his wife filed complaint against performing the marriage ceremony scheduled today.

The person who had arranged marriage with a girl, without divorcing his present wife who have two minor daughters has been identified as Nungleppam Mahananda Singh, aged about 36 years, son of late N. Shyamananda Singh of Uripok Bachaspati Leikai, Imphal West. He married his wife, who filed a petition to the Family court to restrain the marriage ceremony on December 9, 2009.

Interestingly, Nungleppam Mahananda Singh is a member of a political party who is preparing to contest in Manipur state Assembly election, a source said.
