DIGP, CRPF Group Center, Langjing, Vikram Sahgal and Vinod Kumar, Director (Posts), Manipur today inaugurated Core Banking Solution (CBS) at CRPF Camp Langjing Post Office.
It is the third post office in Manipur Division to be equipped with CBS after Imphal Head Post Office and Lilong Sub Office.
During the inaugural function Vinod Kumar said that with the CBS facility, the post office is now connected with all the CBS enabled Post Offices in the rest of the country and Post Office Savings Bank account holders of this post office will be able to carry out their transactions from anywhere in India.
The Director appealed to the people of Manipur to come forward and take the benefits under various social security schemes like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (PMSBY) from this CBS Post Office. He also called upon parents to get a Sukanya Sammridhi Yojana (SSY) account opened for their girl child under age of ten for bright future of the girls. While expressing happiness the DIGP said it will be much easier for the jawans at the camp to send money to their homes and would not need to travel to Imphal Head Post Office for the purpose where sometimes they had to endure long queues.
