General strikes fails to impact PM visits and meeting

Imphal, March 16: 17 hours general strike called by rebel’s body CorCom today paralyses Imphal as private vehicles, passenger vehicles, shops, business establishment schools and colleges remained close. The rebel group called the general strike since 1 am today morning boycotting the visit of  Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mr. Modi was in Imphal today and inaugurated the 105th Indian Science Congress at Manipur University and also attended the one year completion of N. Biren Singh Government at Luwangsangbam Cricket Ground in Imphal East.
