Convert Jiribam Hospital into a full-fledged district hospital: DESAM, Jiribam

The Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM), Jiri District Council demanded for the upgradation of Jiribam Hospital into full-fledged district hospital.
Today, in a press conference, the president of DESAM, Jiri District Council L. Bilaks Meitei  said the present condition of Jiribam hospital bewildered the people whether it is in the status of CHC, Sub-District hospital or 50- bedded hospital.
He urged to clarify the matter and convert it into full fledged district hospital.
Bilaks alleged, it was very surprising that being a government hospital, the authority failed to supply even needle to patients.
Most of the patients who came to government hospital are from below poverty line. He expressed, atleast such common facilities need to provide by hospital authority to the patients.
“Besides this, the toilets condition of the hospital is in unhygienic and pathetic”, he added.
He stated that the patients in the hospital complaint about the cut-off power supply which makes suffered the patients in the shortest of oxygen in last night.
The Civil Society Organisations of Jiribam often complaints about the improvement of the hospital but still the authority remain unheard about the hue and cry of the people which is very unfortunate.
He appealed to the authority to convert Jiribam Hospital into a full fledged district hospital.
