Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee today staged a sit-in-protest in front of the MPCC office at Imphal BT Road protesting the failure of the BJP led NDA in converting the election promises into action. The day is protested across the nation under the initiative of the Indian Youth Congress with the theme “Suit Boot ke Sarkar”.
Speaking to reporters President of the Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee Anis Hussain said that people of the country has been facing lot of trouble after the coming of the BJP government at the centre. He said during this government the price of the life saving drugs and anti cancer drugs has gone up beyond the expectation of the general public. He also said that the price of the petrol has been sky rocketed and farmers no longer are in the position to afford the fertilizers as there has been increase in the price.
Anis Hussain further said that the leaders of the BJP often term the people of the North East India as migrants and no action has been taken up against the leaders.
