While appreciating the initiatives taken up by the Government of Manipur to contain the deadly pandemic COVID-19 in Manipur, The Manipur Pradesh Congress Party urged the Chief Minister to utilized ASHA workers and access all information related to COVID-19 cases in the state of Manipur in the web portal launched by the Chief Minister yesterday.
In a letter sent to the Chief Minister by the President of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, M. Okendro stated that the ASHA Workers in the state are highly skilled and could penetrate to every corner in the state they can be utiised by providing them safety gears and training so that the state takes advantage while fighting against COVID – 19 pandemic.
The State Congress President also stated that that a single web portal dedicated to issues related with only COVID -19 , will give ease to access to the Public. But such prortal shall have all information with regards to the facilities that the state government provides lile PPEs, ventilators, ICUs, hospitals, isolation and quarantine facilities , relevet government orders and relief details.
The Congress president also urged the Chief Minister to maintain transparency while distributing relief materials and also to provide protective gears to all frontline workers like security personnel ad health service providers.
