Imphal, August 2: A Condolence Service was held yesterday for the four ZUF cadres who were killed in an encounter with the Assam Rifles personnel at Nungkao Village of Tamenglong District on 31st July 2014 at the Head Quarter (Dilung) of the group. According to a press release signed by A. Dangmei, Info & Publicity Secretary (IPC), ZUF, Benjamin Pamei, Home Secretary, spoke on the occasion conveying his condolence and reaffirmed to work for the community with love and zeal to stand against any trials and through trying time. Jisanchui Kamei, Chief of Army, also conveyed the condolence message in which he exhorted the cadres to work fervently and cherish the work of sacrificing one’s precious life for the greater cause of the Zeliangrong Community. The representatives of various frontal organisations such as UNC, ZB-AMN, ZU-AMN, ATSUM, AZSU, ZYF-AMN, ZB-M, ZB-Jiri Zone, ZU-M, ZSUM, ZSULA, ZSU South Zone, ZSU-Jiri Zone, ZSU Nungba, SPCT, KAMA, NGO Jiri under RNBA, EX-MLAs, ADC Members, Pastors from various villages, Respected Dignitaries and Social Activists, amongst others also attended the service and conveyed their deepest condolence to the bereaved families and relatives and also prayed for the departed souls, remembering their sacrifices and contributions.
