A joint-statement released by various community organizations in Moreh has condemned the arrest of the ADC/CDL Lhukhosei Zou @Shesei Zou on the intervening night of June 19, 2018 on a matter of possession of drugs. Malicious comments in the social media and WhatsApp voice messages at the critical juncture called for a end to such statements from individuals, CSOs and political organizations till further lawful investigations are due, the General Secretary, Meitei Council,Moreh, N Inaocha Meitei, President, Hill Tribal Council, Moreh, Ginsei Lhungdim, General Secretary, Tamil Sangam, Moreh, Md. Thila Khan, President, Manipuri Muslim Council, Moreh, Md. Jalaluddin, President, Gorkha Samaj, Moreh, Durga Sharma Acharya, and President, Gorkha Samaj Sewa Samiti, Tengnoupal Dist., Moreh, Manipur, stated in a press release. The statement also said that attempts to take political mileage at the critical juncture could set an unwanted precedent involving VVIPs and political vendetta.
