Community protests attack on Naharolgi Thoudang editor’s residence

A protest was held by the local community in response to the attack on the residence of Khoirom Loyalakpa, editor of Naharolgi Thoudang.
The attack occurred on July 16 at 12:10 am, when unknown miscreants, armed with sophisticated weapons, fired 5-6 rounds at Khoirom Loyalakpa’s gate.
Thoudam Sumati Devi, Secretary of Kontha Khabam Mamang Leikai Meira Paibi Khabam Laiharaopham, and Ningthoujam Opendro Singh, Secretary of Kontha Literary and Sporting Club, were present at the protest to voice their condemnation and support for Loyalakpa.
The club and Meira Paibi of the area strongly condemned this violent act and the threat it poses to Loyalakpa’s life. They demanded that the attackers come forward and explain their motives behind this attack.
They also condemn such attacks at the residential area.
