Imphal, July 27: Taking security measures ahead of the coming Independence Day, under the command of Additional SP L Khongsai, a team of commando personnel conducted a search operation near Khuga Tampaak area in Churachandpur at around 4 am to 6 am today.
The cordon and search operation was conduction after receiving a tips of militant activities in the Khuga Tampaak area.
Around 300 people were verified out of which 16 were taken to Churachandpur Police Station for further verification as they couldn’t produce any identity proof documents.
