Imphal West police commando today conducted search operation at Keishamthong Top Leirak area from 4 am to 6 am today and at Khagempalli Ningom Leirak at around the same timing. The search was conducted as a part of the security measures for the upcoming Independence Day celebration. In the search operation conducted at Keishamthong Top Leirak the police team had picked up 17 suspected persons including 3 bail out UGs. All together around 600 persons were verified at spot. At the search operation conducted at Khagempalli 8 suspected persons without valid documents were picked up for verification.
