The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of Manipur for their overwhelming support and participation in the Manipur People’s Convention, held on May 3 at Khuman Lampak, Imphal, marking two years since the crisis began in 2023.
In a statement, COCOMI acknowledged the vital contributions of local clubs, Meira Paibis, intellectuals, scholars, civil society leaders, and representatives from diverse communities including Tangkhul, Mao, Kabui, Rongmei, Aimol, Kom, and Meetei Pangal. Their presence and constructive suggestions were described as a step forward in the collective journey toward peace and reconciliation.
The committee also thanked the District Administration, Manipur Police, Traffic Police, YAS Department, Fire Services, Health Services, Red Cross Society, and technical teams for ensuring smooth coordination during the event. Special appreciation was given to the 19 speakers whose insights helped shape the resolutions.
COCOMI noted the emotional candlelight tribute at Kangla Nongpok Thong and expressed deep appreciation to transport associations and donors who enabled state-wide participation.
Reaffirming its commitment, COCOMI assured that the adopted resolutions would be pursued with dedication to restore peace and justice in Manipur.
