Imphal, July 14:

A COCOMI relief team led by Assistant Coordinator Joychandra Konthoujam was compelled to abandon their aid mission at the Boro Begkra Relief Camp due to an attack by Kuki militants on CRPF personnel. The team had to return without distributing the much-needed supplies of clothes, food, and other essential materials.
Joychandra Konthoujam, Assistant Coordinator of COCOMI, led a team to provide aid at the Boro Begkra Relief Camp, bringing clothes, food, and other essential materials. However, the mission was abruptly halted when Kuki militants attacked CRPF personnel providing security in the area, forcing the COCOMI team to retreat.
The attack occurred around 9:30 AM while the CRPF, along with the state force conducting a Road Opening Party (ROP), was securing the area. Kuki Narco Terrorists fired several rounds at the CRPF, displaying blatant disrespect for the Manipur government.
Joychandra Konthoujam stated that there is a need for unity among elected representatives, urging them to set aside political differences and collectively combat the Kuki Narco Terrorist threat. He called for an end to political mudslinging and for a united front to address the ongoing security challenges in Manipur.
