Impatient, particularly those living below the poverty line- among which some are lucky to het the CMHT card have no difference when it comes to treatment at JNIMS hospital.
Chief Minister N. Biren singh had launched the Chief Minister gi Hakshel gi tengbang with much enthusiasm to assured health care service to all the poor people of the state who can’t afford treatment cost.
Earlier when JNIMS was not upgraded as a medical college , there were only 2 OT, but after it was converted into a medical College a total of 5 OT was procured. Later, some months back 2 Modular high tech Operation Theatre table were reportedly procured but due to poor quality doctors at JNIMS were not ready to use them. Now the 5 OT too seems to be not working and only one OT is being used as of now which means that not many patient can be facilitated.
Earlier about 8 to 9 patient can be treated by after but now as the authority said that only 1 Ot is working number of patients reduces and were referred to private hospitals for surgery.
The value to CMHT card remain of no used as they have to go to the private hospital of surgery.
