Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand today attended the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 at Wangkhei High School in Imphal East district, marking his first participation in the programme after assuming office.
The event brought together students, teachers and education officials to engage with the nationwide interactive initiative led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the programme, the Prime Minister addressed students and responded to their queries, offering practical guidance on facing examinations with confidence, focus and a positive frame of mind.
Interacting with students on the occasion, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand said the Prime Minister’s messages were relatable and reassuring, particularly for young learners experiencing academic pressure. The Chief Minister noted that Pariksha Pe Charcha has emerged as an effective platform to motivate students in Manipur to pursue their academic aspirations with clarity and determination.
He also appreciated the efforts of the Department of Education (Schools) for successfully organising the programme and ensuring smooth participation of students. According to him, initiatives that focus on students’ mental well-being alongside academic performance are essential for building a balanced and confident generation.
