CM vows to bring development in Chandel District

Imphal, Sept. 9: 

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that let us make a collective effort to bring a positive change and overall development in Chandel district. This was stated by him at the blessing ceremony of widening and strengthening of two lane with hard shoulder of Pallel to Chandel road through video conferencing at Chief Minister’s Secretariat today. 

Speaking at the function, Chief Minister said that the significance of the blessing ceremony is to convey the message to the people that the government is working for the welfare of its people. He appealed to the people of the district to co-operate and support the developmental works being undertaken in the district and not to create any obstruction and disturbance to any developmental work. He advised the Construction company to compete the work within one year and maintain quality control in the construction of the project.

The Chief Minister also announced that the long awaited Chandel District Sports Stadium/Complex would be inaugurated soon. Mentioning that the BJP led government has undertaken various developmental works in the state he assured that the government will continue to work for the welfare of the people. Citing various developmental projects, Chief Minister said that most projects including women markets constructed in various hills districts were completed before stipulated time.

Chairman of ADC Chandel D. Ringo Lamkang, Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Principal Secretary P. Vaiphei, Deputy Commissioner (i/c) Chandel Ksh. Sidhart and others attended the function.
