CM, Speaker greets on Nupi Lal Day

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and the Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly greets the people of Manipur on occasion of the Nupi Lal Day.
In his message the Chief Minister said that the Nupi Lal of 1939 is one of the important movement of the womenfolk of Manipur which has carved a distinct niche in the history of Manipur. It said the agitation by the womenfolk alone against the monopolistic colonial administration shows how valiant and responsible the Manipuri women are in the soceity. The Chief Minister also appealed the people to join hands to work together to fight all evils and vicious crimes in the society, including crime against women and children.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Lokeshwar also greets the people of the state on Nupilal Day. He appealed the people to have regard to every women showing concerns to the rising crime against women.
