CM N Biren inaugurates various Projects for Tamenglong and Noney District

Tamenglong, Sept 22:

A community outreach program of the government of Manipur to bring and equal round development in Hills and Valley, Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh  today inaugurates Oxygen Plant, additional 50 bedded hospital and Tamenglong Natural Football ground at Tamenglong district headquarter. Altogether 32 projects were also inaugurated virtually for Tamenglong and Noney District out of which 28 are completed projects and the remaining 4 projects the foundation stone was also laid by the Chief Minister of Manipur. 

Our aims and objectives is to develop equally whether it is women, youth, or economically backward people and to walk through progressive and development state said the chief guest of the inaugural function. Ninety nine percent of the development work for Tamenglong is in full swing and let us co-operate with the government in achieving this goal added N. Biren Singh. 

I am also happy to announce to the people that Tamenglong District has been selected to develop health wealth centre where all the health center will be provided with 24/7 power uninterrupted by means of solar so that in case of any emergency related health issue can be performed without any hindrances. “Health for all” scheme will also be launched by first week of October for the people of Tamenglong and Noney District where health workers will be visiting at your doorstep to check up your health related issues whether it is BP hypertension, sugar, blood test, and even serious health problems like cancer and heart test so that everybody live a healthy life. He also stated that for minors, under the PM Modi health scheme Jan Aushadhi, a medicine which cost Rs. 500 at the market can be purchased at Rs. 50. 

I’m really proud to see the land of Tamenglong district covering with forest the main reason of visiting Tamenglong is to bring development and infrastructure for the people of Tamenglong stated the CM.

It will be scripted in the history of India where the people of Tamenglong did not take compensation for the construction of road and donated the land for the development and for this reason I will stand and promise to develop Tamenglong at any cost added N. Biren. 

During his visit he also submitted sanction order of Rs. 3 crores to build a Joint Tribe Council mini secretariat at the Tamenglong headquarters. 

During his speech, CM also declared Kaimai Railway Station as Rani Gaidinliu Railways Station and he also promised the people gathering that Rani Gaidinliu museum will be built at her native birth place. Later CM also expressed his happiness on the news about Tamenglong Oranges receiving GI -Tag.

Tissue culture for the Oranges of Tamenglong is also in the pipeline and under the Central Agriculture University rupees Two crore twenty lakhs has been sanctioned to preserve and promote the orange of Tamenglong added CM of Manipur. He also request the people gather to introspect in which the government have left out in developing projects in their respective District so that the government can perform the work diligently and deliver it to the people. 

The chief minister also announced the public gathering that the shortest road from Tamenglong to Thingou railway station will be constructed at the earliest and under the backward development fund rupees 5 Crores has been sanctioned for developing the Zeme tribe of Tamenglong district. 

During his Tamenglong visit CM and his colleagues also distributed various materials, machineries, CMHT cards, Fingerlings, Smart phones to college students, Handloom manual machines to the 1182 selected beneficiaries under various schemes of Horticulture, Agriculture, Tribal Affairs, Fishery, Social Welfare and from Health  Department.

Awongbow Newmai, Forest Minister and caretaker of Tamenglong and Noney District also stated that the 50 years long awaited road Tamenglong-Halflong and Tousem road the construction has already started and so let us also acknowledge and appreciate the work done by the People’s Minister, N. Biren Singh.

Thongam Biswajit Singh, Minister (Works, RD&PR, T,C&I, Power, ART, IPR),  Awangbow Newmai, Minister (Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Sericulture), Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh, Minister (Education, Fisheries, CADA), Vungzagin Valte Minister (Tribal Affairs & Hills, Transport, GAD), Oinam Lukhoi, Minister (Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Tourism), Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, Advisor to Chief Minister (Health) & Namsinrei Panmei, Caretaker Chairman of ADC Tamenglong attended the inauguration program as guest of honour. 

The District Administration in coordination with Joint Tribes Council, Tamenglong welcomes the CM of Manipur and his team. More than 4000 people gather and welcome the chief minister of Manipur and his colleagues.
