CM Khemchand inspects New Secretariat, flags off Excise Department vehicles

Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh today inspected the New Secretariat complex at Mantripukhri and later flagged off five new vehicles for the Excise Department, Manipur, at a function held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Babupara.
During the inspection at Mantripukhri, the Chief Minister reviewed the infrastructure and ongoing arrangements at the New Secretariat complex. He was accompanied by other MLAs and senior officials of the state government, who assessed the preparedness and facilities aimed at strengthening administrative functioning.
Later, at around 12:40 pm, the Chief Minister flagged off five Mahindra Bolero Camper pick-up vehicles for the Excise Department from the Secretariat complex. The vehicles were procured under the State Plan to enhance the department’s operational capacity and mobility.
The addition of the new vehicles is expected to reinforce enforcement activities, including action against illegal liquor trade, and improve the overall efficiency of the Excise Department. Senior officials of the department were present at the flag-off ceremony.
