CM inaugurates Manipur’s first Exclusive Special Court (NIA)

Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh inaugurated Exclusive Special Court Manipur National Investigation Agency (NIA) at the complex of Thoubal District Court, Khangabok, Thoubal, today.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister stated that the inauguration of the NIA Court, the first of its kind in the State, marks a significant milestone in strengthening the justice delivery system. He expressed confidence that the establishment of the court would enhance the judicial framework and ensure timely access to justice for the people.

Referring to the present law and order challenges in the State, he noted that clients who previously had to approach courts outside Manipur for filing NIA-related cases can now avail legal assistance within the State itself.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur, Justice M. The inauguration programme was jointly organised by the Law and Legislative Affairs, Government of Manipur and The High Court of Manipur.

The event was attended by Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Justice A Guneshwar Sharma, Justice A.
