CM draws Home Minister for Imphal Moreh Helicopter service

Imphal Sept 30: Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh wrote a letter to the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh regarding introduction of Imphal-Moreh, Helicopter Service.

Sources said that O. Ibobi, in his letter, drew attention of the Union Minister about the need of helicopter service to connect the remote districts of Manipur with Imphal. Apart from Imphal-Moreh, Chief Minister also urged the Union Home Minister to introduce helicopter service for Imphal- Jiribam, Jiribam Tamenglong and Imphal Tamonglong.

The sources further said that Chief Minister wrote that the prevailing law and order situation of the state as the reason of the introduction of helicopter service. He also requested the Union Home Minister to bear 75% of the total expenditure of the service by the Union Government.
