CM distributes financial assistance under Special Scheme for education of children

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh distributed a one-time financial aid to beneficiaries who are children of labour card holders staying in relief camps. The distribution program was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and was organized by the Manipur Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board. A sum of Rs. 5000 was given to each beneficiary by the Chief Minister as One-time financial assistance.
Following the distribution of financial aid, N. Biren Singh engaged in conversations with the beneficiaries, who are currently staying in relief camps, and listened to their concerns. The Chief Minister also assured that the government is taking necessary steps to support the welfare of those affected by the recent violence in the state.
In addition to the Chief Minister, Water Resources Minister Awangbow Newmai, Chairperson of the Manipur Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board K. Saratkumar Singh, and other officials were present at the program.
As part of this special scheme, families with a valid labour card and residing in relief camps established by the Manipur government will receive a one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5000 for the education of their children.
