Addressing the gathering, Khemchand Singh stated that the local clubs functioning in every locality of Manipur play a significant role in shaping the character of the youth. He maintained that the State’s ability to produce successful sportspersons is also attributed to local clubs and stated that it is the local club who always takes the responsibility of providing the invaluable support and assistance to the talented youth emerging from the weaker section of the society.
The Chief Minister noted that this has become a culture in the State for which we are proud of. He added that, apart from the support provided by the Government, the assistance extended by local clubs in the development of sports is significant.

Kakchingtabam Ajitkumar Sharma, President, CRYDA, stated that he appreciates the active participation of the local people and the members of the celebration committee for their collective efforts towards the smooth conduct of the celebration.
