CM appeals all to cooperate in developmental works

Expressing his helplessness over the obstacles laid by some sections of the people, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has said that development in the state will remain unfeasible without co-operation from the populace. Speaking during the 100 Birth Centenary of freedom fighter Haipei Rani Gaidingliu organized by Kabui Mothers’ Association, Manipur at MFDC Palace Compound here today, Ibobi condemned the recent incident of kidnapping 3 railway workers from Awangkhun railway tunnel site. He also appealed the concerned party to release the abducted workers and enable them to resume their tunnel work. The CM also disclosed the state government’s decision to install a memorial statue of the freedom fighter at a proper place at the state capital city. State Home Minister, Gaikhangam, who presided over the function, recalled the contributions of the late freedom fighter during the Indian freedom struggle.
