CM and Education Minister greets teachers on Teachers’ Day

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh  and Education Minister S. Rajen wish the teaching community of the state on the occasion of Teacher’s Day 2021.
In his message, N Biren said, “I extend my greetings to the teaching community that is devoted to nurturing and enlightening minds. Teachers’ Day is observed on 5th September every year in the country on the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India. I pay my tributes to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan who was also a distinguished teacher and renowned statesman. Teachers play a profound role in shaping society as they inform, influence, educate and enlighten the minds of the students. Teachers prepare us for lifelong experiences. It is a noble profession shaping the character and future of a country. I salute all teachers of the State – teachers in schools, colleges, universities, coaches and mentors, managers, leaders and even mothers for fulfilling their duty with boundless dedication”.
Education Minister S Rajen in his messsage said that teachers is the most humble profession. The profession of teaching is one of the most challenging one.
September 5 has been observed as “Teachers’ Day” nationwide, as a mark to respect teaching fraternities on the Birth Day of (Late) Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who is considered as the architect and reformer of education in the country, the Education Minister said.
