Revelation of the infamous July 23 Khwairamband Keithel alleged fake encounter case has created anger among some of the Congress legislators prompting the Chief Minister to convene a meeting at 5 pm today. Source said the meeting will deliberate on the issue and the confession made by Th. Herojit, the Head Constable of the Manipur Police at which he stated that he killed Ch Sanjit by the order of then Additional SP Jhalajit.
Source said that some of the Congress Legislators are opining suspension of Imphal West SP Dr. AK Jhalajit as the matter is now in the public domain which might affect their political careers.
Until the filing of this news report some of the MLA had already enter the Chief Minister Office even though the meeting schedule is at 5 pm.
