Imphal, Nov 17:

Children at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai staged a protest in response to the tragic killing of three children, including an 8-month-old baby, in Jiribam. The children were reportedly abducted and killed by Kuki militants.
Expressing their outrage, the young protesters stated that they could not accept the brutal killing of children. “As children, we cannot agree with the killing of other children,” said Silpa, a seventh-grade student participating in the protest.
Silpa and other protestors voiced their frustration with the silence of political leaders regarding the ongoing crisis. “The political leadership has not done anything, and they remain silent. Some action should be taken,” Silpa added.
The protestors emphasized that the violence has been ongoing since last year, with no meaningful response from the authorities. “This is sad and frustrating. They have killed children, and yet, they are not doing anything,” one protestor lamented
