Chief Minister N. Biren Singh unveils BJP Manifesto, addresses key issues

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh took center stage at the BJP office, Thambal Shanglen, to release the State BJP Manifesto today. In his address, he underscored the pressing concerns faced by the state, particularly the challenges posed by illegal immigration.
Highlighting the proactive stance of the central government, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh emphasized measures such as border fencing, the suspension of the Free Movement Regime, and the implementation of the Inner Line Permit system to address the issue of illegal immigration. He reiterated the commitment to resolving state issues while safeguarding the interests of indigenous communities and the territorial integrity of Manipur.
Addressing the contentious issue of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), the Chief Minister acknowledged the toll it has taken on the lives of youth and the ongoing challenges faced by many. In a significant move, he announced the removal of disturbed area status from 19 police stations, reflecting the government’s responsiveness to the concerns of the people.
Furthermore, Singh highlighted the special focus accorded to the development of the Northeast region in the BJP manifesto, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the holistic progress of the region.
During a media interaction following the manifesto release, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh urged the electorate to support BJP and NPF candidates to ensure the continuation of ongoing developmental initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In response to the recent attack on oil tankers along the National Highway, Singh condemned the incident and assured swift action, with operations underway to apprehend the perpetrators.
The event witnessed the presence of BJP candidate Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, along with other BJP MLAs, ministers, central leaders, and state dignitaries, reflecting a unified commitment towards addressing key issues and driving the state towards prosperity.
