The final Electoral Rolls of the 60 Assembly Constituencies of Manipur have been published today, as per the schedule fixed by the Election Commission of India.
The final electoral rolls published today showed an increase of 1,11,380 electors in 7 years. The total number of electors published with prior approval from the Election Commission of India in April 2018, prior to the state Assembly election, was 19,15,243. Total electors published today is 20,26,623.
According to a statement by Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, Pradeep Kumar Jha, the total number of newly enrolled electors is 34,700. Of these, 15,596 are male, 19,095 are female, and 9 belong to the transgender community. As many as 16,509 electors, including 5,280 expired electors, have been deleted from the electoral rolls. The total number of service electors is 221,832, with 97 inclusions and 38 deletions during the revision period, the CEO said.
As per the Final Electoral Rolls 2024, the gender ratio stands at 1068, compared to 1066 in the Draft Electoral Roll published on October 27, 2023. The electors’ population is recorded at 55.54%, compared to 55.04% in the draft rolls. The total number of electors, as per the Final Electoral Rolls, is 20,26,623, showing an increase of 18,191 electors from the Draft Electoral Roll.
Imphal West district, which has a total of 15 Assembly constituencies, has 3,81,005 electors, including 77 transgender individuals. Imphal East district, which has 8 Assembly constituencies, has 3,23,844 electors, including 77 transgender individuals. Bishnupur district, which has 6 Assembly constituencies, has 1,83,472 electors, including 43 transgender individuals. Thoubal district, which has 6 Assembly constituencies, has 2,04,520 electors, including 15 transgender individuals. Chandel district, which has just one Assembly constituency, has 45,617 electors. Tengnoupal district, which also has just one Assembly constituency, has 75,300 electors. Churachandpur district, which has six Assembly constituencies, has a total of 1,82,732 voters, including 4 transgender individuals. Senapati district, which has 3 Assembly constituencies, has 1,42,688 electors. Tamenglong District, which has 3 Assembly constituencies, has 75,300 voters. Ukhrul district, which has 2 Assembly constituencies, has 93,651 electors. Jiribam district, which has just one Assembly constituency, has 30,776 voters, including 1 transgender individual. Kangpokpi district, which has just two Assembly constituencies, has a total of 1,03,563 voters, including 1 transgender individual. Kakching district, which has 4 Assembly constituencies, has 1,17,482 electors, including 20 transgender individuals. Tengnoupal district, which has one Assembly constituency, has a total of 42,731 voters, including 1 transgender individual. Kamjong district, which has one Assembly constituency, has 34,907 voters. Noney district has one Assembly constituency and a total of 29,438 voters. Pherzawl district, which has one Assembly constituency, has a total of 34,897 voters.
