CEO Manipur launches Signature Campaign to promote ethical electoral participation

IT News
Imphal, April 5:

A signature campaign was initiated from the Chief Electoral Officer’s Office in Manipur, aiming to foster ethical electoral participation among all eligible voters, with a particular focus on engaging the youth demographic.
The campaign seeks to inspire voters to exercise their franchise on Poll Day in a manner that upholds the principles of fairness, transparency, and peace, while resisting any undue influences or external pressures.
Numerous efforts have been put forth to encourage informed and inclusive voting practices. These include the dissemination of creative content and explanatory videos across various media platforms, highlighting the functionalities of tools such as C-Vigil, the toll-free number 1950, Know Your Candidate (KYC), Saksham, and the Voter Helpline.
To further bolster awareness, large-scale hoardings and posters have been strategically positioned throughout the state, empowering voters with essential information. Additionally, television and radio broadcasts, alongside catchy jingles, have been extensively utilized to prepare the populace for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024.
Particular attention has been devoted to internally displaced persons (IDPs), with comprehensive awareness programs conducted at all relief camps, ensuring their ability to exercise their voting rights.
On the logistical front, the randomization process for Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) has been successfully completed across all districts. The second randomization phase occurred today, April 5th, 2024, under the supervision of Returning Officers, alongside the General Observer and representatives of contesting candidates.
