CDO seizes arms, ammunitions and communication equipment in Nambol area

Manipur Police CDO team has seized a cache of arms, including a pistol, grenades, a handheld set, and a medical kit in a search operation in Nambol area. Today at approximately 7:10 am, a comprehensive search operation was conducted in the general areas of Nambol Oinam, Nambol Naorem, and Mantha Ching by a CDO team led by P Sanjoy Singh MPS (CDO-1), with assistance from SI S. Kishorjit Singh, HC O. Jayenta Singh, and A. Johnson Singh. This operation, overseen by Ksh. Ravikumar Singh IPS SP/Bpr and Amarjit Lamabam MPS Addnl SP (Ops) Bishnupur, aimed to ensure security and detect any potential threats.
During the search in Oinam Yumpham/Oksoi, a cardboard box was discovered, which upon inspection revealed alarming contents: a 7.65 mm pistol marked as Made in USA with two magazines, eight H.E grenades No. 36, two Chinese hand grenades, one Kenwood handheld set with antenna, and a medical kit. These items, suspected to be concealed by militants, were seized at 8:45 am and handed over to Nambol PS for further necessary action, underscoring the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
