CCSK calls for unity says Sangai Festival was a festival of some bureaucrats

The recently concluded Sangai Festival, which the government referred to as a tourism festival, is not a tourism festival but a festival for some bureaucratic officers. This was stated by Jeetendra Ningombam, President of the Committee of Civil Society Kangleipak (CCSK), during the organisation’s 11th Foundation Day celebration held at Citizen Club, Soibam Leikai, in Imphal East.
The 11th Foundation Day of the CCSK was attended by Khongbantabam Ibomcha, MLA of Lamlai Assembly Constituency; Thangjam Arunkumar Singh, MLA of Wangkhei Assembly Constituency; and CCSK President Jeetendra Ningombam as presidium members.
Jeetendra further said that during the crisis which erupted on May 3, 2023, the people of the state have suffered immensely, and the unfortunate part is that the crisis still has no solution. During such difficult times, the CCSK acknowledged the contribution and humanitarian service of the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur Chapter, and in recognition of its service, the CCSK honoured the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur Chapter, with an appreciation certificate.
The CCSK President further stated that the recently concluded Sangai Festival is not only a festival of bureaucrats but also a strategy to further suppress the people who have already been suppressed by the government. Jeetendra called on all organisations, meira paibis and club members to set aside differences and unite to work collectively to protect the motherland.
