CCpur Khuga battalion holds ex-servicemen rally

CCpur, Sept. 24: The Khuga Battalion Station near Khuga Dam today organised a rally of pensioners and widows of army personnel in Churachandpur district attended by top officials of the district and ex Army men.
Several stalls including that of medical were set up for more than 100 pensioners.
The rally was attended by Churachandpur district DC Lunminthang Haokip, SP Rakesh Balwal, 27 sector AR commander Brig Ajay Kumar, Khuga Battalion CO Col Hooda and ADC Churachandpur member from New Lamka West CT Lian Guite.
A counseling centre opened by the battalion also organized a pre-recruitment rally and training for more than 50 youth who will participate in the Army recruitment to be held at Senapati between October 16 and 21.
An ex-servicemen recruitment cell was also opened to help the ex-servicemen with their problems particularly issues of pension dispersal.
Brig Ajay Kumar appreciated the battalion for organising the rally and further expressed his desire that such rally be organised more often at least four times a year, so that the ex-servicemen’s grievances are lessened.
