David Hamilton, First Secretary Political/Economic Affairs is visiting Manipur from February 23 to March 1, 2015.
Sources said that the purpose of his visit is to gain a deeper appreciation of the Look East and Act East Policies and related economic, commercial and infrastructure issues.
The source further said that Ministry of External Affairs, (AMS Division), Government of India informed the state government that David Hamilton has requested for meeting with representatives of Department of Commerce and Industries of the state. He will also visit at land customs, Moreh. David Hamilton may also interact with Border Roads Organizations in Imphal and Kohima, Narcotics and Affairs of Border, Imphal and Nagaland Police Department.
