Imphal Dec 29: State Cabinet today discussed for appointment of sportspersons who secured Gold/Silver/Bronze medals in the Olympics, Asian Games, Common Wealth Games and Gold Medalists of 34th National Games in the State Service.
The cabinet meeting which begins from 4 pm today also discussed about direct purchase of land for establishment of National Sports University, revised bid documents for lease-cum-development of Tourism Accommodation Units constructed under Tourism Department, Amendment of Rules of Business of the Government, Up-gradation of two post the Project Implementation Union (PIU) of Externally Aided Project (EAP) and acquisition of land for construction of GNM School Bishnupur.
Source said the meeting deliberated on the issue arises out of the acquisition of land at Yaithibi Loukon in Thoubal district.
