In a significant step towards improving connectivity, Social worker Ksh. Priyobata inaugurated a newly constructed bridge built over the Langathel River at Langathel Mayai Leikai under Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency.
The bridge, built with the collective efforts of the residents of Langathel Mayai Leikai, particularly those associated with the Ibudhou Pakhangba temple, marks a milestone in local infrastructure development. During the inauguration, Ksh. Priyobata emphasized that the bridge would not only facilitate easier commuting but also benefit the youth of the area by improving access to opportunities.
Highlighting the challenges faced during construction, he noted the immense effort required to complete the project and pledged to continue working for the welfare of the community. He also stated that the bridge represents more than infrastructure; it symbolizes unity and progress for the people of Manipur.
The ceremony included a blessing by the Lai Committee, with member H. Rajen appreciating the social worker’s dedication. The bridge was consecrated with rituals conducted at the site, honoring the cultural and religious sentiments of the local population.
Addressing the gathering, Ksh. Priyobata reaffirmed his commitment to social service, stating, “This bridge is not just a means of crossing the river; it is a path toward development and better living standards for our people. My work is guided by the well-being of the community, not political interests.”
He called for continued collective efforts to enhance public infrastructure and expressed hope that the bridge would inspire further development projects in the region.
