Borobekra SDC office reopens after 15 years

The SDC office of Borobekra Sub-Division under Jiribam District which was set up in 1983 to facilitate revenue related works in Borobekra Sub-Division but ceased functioning since a decades, has resumed operation from today. 
The reopening function of the SDC office was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam W. Malemnganba Chenglei, ADC Jiribam Jemson Hangsing along with other officials and local Pradhan, public leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jiribam W. Malemnganba Chenglei (IAS) expressed that the Borobekra Sub-Division is around 24km from District headquarter, since a long time the Sub Divisional officer was not appointed but recently under the initiative of Chief Minister’s Sub Divisional development plan the SDC office of Borobekra was reopened. He added that the reopening of the SDC office will help accelerate development in the area.
Thereafter, the Pradhan of Borobekra Gram Panchayat Laljading Hmar expressed that reopening of SDC office will ease the hardships of people of Borobekra Sub-Division for going to and fro to district headquarter for official works.
The SDC Borobekra Sub-Division Moirangthem Devananda Singh (MCS) said that under the initiative of Chief Minister Sub Divisional development monitoring mission, the SDC office of Borobekra Sub-Division reopened. He assured he will make his best efforts for various developmental works in the areas.
He further urged the people for extending support to the new government’s endeavour to execute works for the development of the areas.
