Bongbal villagers in dire need of healthcare facilities

Churachandpur, July 27 : Bongbal Village Authority has urged the state government to look into the problems faced by the village, particularly with regard to lack of healthcare facilities.
Bongbal Village Authority Secretary Letkholal Kipgen in a statement said that Bongbal villagers are facing a slew of problems due to lack of proper medical care and treatment facilities.  
Many people in the village are still suffering from fever, throat pain, cough and weakness, the statement said, adding that the villagers need proper medical care desperately.  
The village is located about 30 km from the district hospital. The statement expressed unhappiness over the alleged negligence of the state government on the issue.  
It urged the government to set up a Primary Health Centre (PHC) at the village immediately.  
Churachandpur district has been the worst affected by dengue and Japanese Encephalitis outbreak this summer.
