Unknown assailants targeted the residences of three Board of Directors of the Salai Group of Companies with bombs last evening. The attacks occurred at different locations, with varying outcomes.
The first incident took place at the residence of Deepa Anand Akoijam in Kwakeithel Akham Leikai around 11 pm. The bomb exploded at the gate, causing damage but no injuries.
Subsequent attacks occurred at the residences of Mayengbam Tolenjao Mangang and Yumlembam Dolendro. Bombs were thrown at Mangang’s home in Lamboikhongkhong near Samusang around midnight and at Dolendro’s residence in Lalambung Takhellambam Leikai around 9 pm. Neither of these bombs detonated, and police were promptly dispatched to safely defuse them.
This series of attacks follows previous incidents involving the Board Members of Salai Group. The police are investigating the motives behind these assaults.
